Particle size and why it matters
Particle size decides how a coating covers, how a pigment looks, how a pharmaceutical ingredient dissolves and how a beverage feels in the mouth. Milling narrows the distribution and removes oversize particles that would show up as specks, sediment or inconsistent dosing.
Media mills use small beads moved by an agitator to grind particles in a liquid.
